My Memories of you PART I…
how are you doing there? i hope your bosses never give you a hard time.
dad, i miss you so much. remember the time when you used to carry me on your shoulder? the time when we look for fruits for lunch in our little paradise at Isla de Oro? You climbed a coconut tree and im just there sitting on a huge rock staring at you hoping you won’t fall. Then you’ll scream “Ate, palayo kay mahulogan ka sa butong!” and i ran as far as i can to be safe. Eventhough our lunch were “butong”, we were happy back then. stayed under a tree enjoying our “butong” while you sharing and telling me your dream that someday we will rise on top of the food chain, eat decent foods –real foods. i remembered one time i asked for milk but you served me coffee instead ‘coz you have no money to buy my milk. i never complained. you never heard a single word from me. do you want to know why dad? it’s because i can see through your eyes that you are sad and frustrated by the situation. you promised me that i will have everything i wanted and so you did provide me those. twice or make it a million folds of the things i wanted. i can still remember i asked for a bike and you brought two, one for both of us. you taught me how to ride a bike and not for long we went to the plaza riding my new bike with you. Know what dad, you never fail to make me smile. i miss you dad. i miss sitting on your lap and you hugging me from my back, and whispers to my ear “ate, pagbinoutan baya ha? or ate, i am proud of you”. Simple words coming from you but it made me feel good that i made you feel that way…
Dad, have i done something wrong? i never hear you say that to me again. i miss those words dad… i miss you so much =( …
